Juan Flores-Mejia sexually assaulted the child, who was under 16 years old, multiple times in Bogota, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
Flores-Mejia was arrested following an investigation by the county prosecutor's office on Oct. 4 and charged with four counts of second-degree sexual assault and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack.
